Pat McGuiness, CMHC
Pat is from New England, graduating from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire with his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and later from Antioch New England with his Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology.
With over 20 years of experience, Pat has worked in psychiatric hospitals, nursing homes and treatment centers. Having spent the majority of his career in private practice, Pat specializes in working with families and helping individuals recover from trauma or difficult life experiences. He began using EMDR in 1999 and continues to use it frequently with clients.
Pat’s passion for athletics and the outdoors lead him to Utah seven years ago. He loves life in the Wasatch Range. Pat has a positive view of his clients, treating them as allies in achieving personal goals. He views therapy as a process of working together to remove obstacles that get in the way of success.
