Spencer received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Utah State University and went on to graduate with a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern Mississippi. He has extensive experience performing crisis work and providing outpatient treatment with adolescent and adult individuals, couples, and families addressing a wide variety of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse, suicidal ideation and self-harm, compulsive behaviors, faith issues, anger management, and relationship issues. Spencer’s primary focus is working with adolescents and adults struggling with low self-esteem, marital and parenting issues, pornography, PTSD, and adjustment issues. He likes to employ a wide variety of therapy modalities to help his clients succeed including cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy for adolescents, solution-focused and narrative therapies, and the Gottman Method couples therapy. He has completed Gottman Level 2 training and is certified as a Youth Mental Health Specialist. He is currently accepting clients via teletherapy and offers his sessions in both English and Spanish.

Spencer is active in his community serving in roles on his local soccer board and in his local congregation. He enjoys playing board games and sports with his wife and children. He and his family also like to swim at the pool and go on adventures.
