Jacob graduated with a B.S. in Healthcare Administration followed by a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling. Jacob is very passionate about helping people change their lives by working toward reaching their personal goals. Life can throw challenges our way that make it difficult to keep going at times, which is why he has dedicated his life to helping others discover strengths they didn’t know they had. Jacob utilizes Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to best help his clients heal and self-discover. Jacob has helped many heal from the emotional pain of living in shame or living in the toxic perfectionism many of us have had where nothing we feel is good enough.
Jacob will create space for you to break down walls that have been put up from trauma in order to heal and feel secure in your intrapersonal relationship with yourself and your relationships with others. Jacob has worked in Youth Intensive Outpatient Centers in both individual and group settings where he has helped adolescents overcome challenges and improve their mental health and wellbeing. He has also worked in the addiction field helping recovering addicts heal and maintain sobriety. Jacob specializes in issues around religion and spirituality, anxiety disorders, trauma, and addiction. Jacob resides with his wife and two kids.
