Kelli completed a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. She then completed her Masters in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in sports performance counseling at University of Utah. She spent several years working in a non-profit, providing both mental health and substance abuse counseling to individuals in an outpatient setting. With her background in athletics, she provided services to competitors at the high school, Division II, Division I, and semi-professional levels. Most recently, she provided therapy at a primary care setting, working collaboratively with physicians to provide comprehensive care to her patients.
Her primary focus and passion is working with adults on a wide range of challenges including: depression, anxiety, abuse, self-esteem, confidence, boundaries, interpersonal relationships and communication, attachment, LGBTQIA community, and performance related concerns.
Viewing the client as the expert on themselves, Kelli aims to work collaboratively with each individual, providing support, guidance, and skills to help them achieve their goals. She practices from an Eclectic Therapeutic Approach but largely utilizes conceptualizations from Feminist Multicultural Therapy, Interpersonal Process Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Kelli is passionate about destigmatizing mental health and providing affirming and supportive care to her clients. She strives to meet folks where they are at to help them find their way on their path to overall wellness. Outside of therapy, Kelli enjoys spending her time in the outdoors, specifically in skiing, rock climbing, hiking/backpacking, and camping. She also recently began competing in triathlons, and will be completing her first Ironman 70.3 this year.
