Emily Cox is a former school counselor turned therapist who believes in functional, holistic therapy focused on balance in all areas of life: emotional, physical, social, and spiritual. She specializes in and loves working with adolescents and young adults but is eager to work with any client seeking direction and movement.
She received a Bachelor of Psychology from Southern Utah University, then went on to earn a Master of School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has worked with teens for 25 years in secondary school settings as well as in DCFS, CPS, and the juvenile justice system.
Besides being a therapist, she’s married to a very cool guy, is a mom to two young adult boys, loves to travel far and wide every chance she gets, is an author, and loves animals, reading, and rainy days. She gets excited about learning the unexplainable, experiencing new cultures, and is famously curious about people. Some might call it nosey, but she really loves observing how people approach the world.
