Kimberly Jackson is a dedicated mental health and substance use professional with over 10 years of experience serving individuals and families in both inpatient and outpatient recovery settings. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Family Science and Substance Use Disorder Counseling from Utah Valley University and is currently completing her Master of Social Work (MSW), with graduation anticipated in May 2026. Kimberly currently serves on a multidisciplinary treatment team in partnership with the Utah Department of Corrections, providing recovery-oriented, wrap-around support to justice-involved individuals. She is deeply committed to helping break generational cycles of addiction, trauma, violence, and incarceration.

Kimberly takes a client-centered, trauma-informed approach grounded in empathy, compassion, and respect for each individual’s dignity and self-determination. She is trained in evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and integrates creative approaches such as play therapy, music therapy, and sand tray. She works with individuals, couples, and families to improve communication, navigate conflict, rebuild trust, and strengthen relationships. Kimberly supports clients in developing skills for emotional regulation, boundary setting, problem-solving, and relapse prevention, while collaboratively creating meaningful, client-driven goals.

Kimberly specializes in working with concerns such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, stress, motivation challenges, and substance use recovery. She is passionate about empowering clients to create lasting change through practical coping strategies, SMART goal setting, and sustainable self-care routines.

Outside of her professional work, Kimberly is a proud mother in a blended family of nine children. She enjoys gardening, camping, and cooking, and values connection, authenticity, and growth both in and outside of the therapy space.
