Shan’tel Christensen

Shan’tel specializes in working with clients ages 14 and older who are experiencing anxiety and trauma-related symptoms. She provides a warm, collaborative, and compassionate approach, helping clients feel genuinely seen, validated, and supported throughout their healing journey. 

Her experience includes working with hospice patients, NOJOS clients, and co-facilitating DBT groups for adolescents and grief and loss support groups for adults. She is passionate about helping individuals rediscover their sense of worth and develop practical skills to manage anxiety and trauma-related symptoms.

Shan’tel holds a Master of Social Work degree from Utah State University and integrates several modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys reading, listening to fun music, and finding reasons to laugh as often as possible. She strongly believes that “Today is a beautiful day to do hard things!” (Kimberley Quinlan).
