Steve is a fully licensed CMHC counselor in Utah with a deep passion for helping people navigate their way through healing from trauma and other life transitions. He especially loves working with adults, couples, teens, and military veterans.
Steve graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Southern Utah University and a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. He then continued his education and received his PhD in Psychology from Walden University.
Steve worked at a mental health hospital for four years and then moved to the Veterans Administration for a couple of years. His experiences helped him develop a broad understanding of therapeutic interventions, cultural awareness, and sensitivity to best help his clients.
Steve draws from a diverse range of therapeutic approaches and on evidence-based techniques like CBT, CPT, DBT, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Gottman method couples’ therapy. Steve’s goal is to create a compassionate and safe space to create growth and healing.
In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and playing computer games when he can.
