Lisa is a dedicated and compassionate social worker who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role as a therapist. She earned her Bachelors of Social Work (BSW) from Western New Mexico University in 2019, followed by her Masters of Social Work (MSW) in 2022. Her social work journey began over 20 years ago, by working with at-risk youth, laying the foundation for her career in the mental health field. This trajectory led her to become deeply involved with the adoption and foster care communities, where she grew in her dedication to support vulnerable individuals and families.

With a deep-rooted commitment to social justice and gender equality, Lisa is a proud feminist who is passionate about empowering her clients. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in trauma-informed care, where she creates a safe and accepting space for clients to explore their emotions and experiences.

Lisa specializes in providing affirmative and supportive therapy to individuals navigating spiritual and life transitions, those grappling with challenges relating to identity and sexual orientation, as well as addressing the unique issues women/girls face. She integrates principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques to aid clients in integrating radical acceptance, identifying behaviors/thoughts misaligned with their core values, and overcoming challenges related to anxiety and depression.

As a certified crisis worker, Lisa possesses the skills and experience to assist clients navigating self-harm tendencies and suicidal thoughts. Lisa’s overarching goal is to provide a space where clients feel genuinely accepted, supported, and understood as they embark on their journey towards improved mental health. Her therapeutic approach, rooted in empowerment, compassion, and inclusivity, aims to serve clients from all walks of life.

Lisa’s active engagement in her community reflects her commitment to fostering positive change beyond the therapy room. In her leisure time, she enjoys quality moments with her husband, three children, two dogs, and friends. Nurturing connections is a vital aspect of her life.
