Alyssa graduated from Utah State University with her Bachelors of Family Life Studies in 2019. She also earned her Master of Social Work Degree in 2023 from the University of Utah. Prior to beginning her MSW, Alyssa worked as a crisis case manager for children, youth, and families, which fueled her desire to become a clinician. She has experience working with individuals, families, and groups on a variety of issues. Alyssa particularly enjoys treating trauma and utilizes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). She also practices DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), SFT (Solution Focused Therapy), and CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy).
In her free time, Alyssa enjoys reading a good book, watching a good show (NCIS and other crime shows are her favorites), creating art, and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys a good nap, sitting in the sunshine, petting dogs, baking, and eating said baked goods.
