Amy Colton
AMFT
Available in the Highland Office and over Teletherapy
Amy understands firsthand how complex and complicated life can get and how overwhelmed and unsure we can feel at difficult times in our lives. It can be hard to know how to heal, and move forward. There are many external and internal factors that can inhibit us from living a full and happy life. She would love to meet you where you are, hear your story, and work alongside you to find ways, unique and personalized for you, to cope with your challenges.
Amy primarily uses Emotionally Focused and Solution Focused Therapy. She earned her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral (National) University and her Bachelor’s degree from BYU Hawaii. She considers herself an LGBTQ+ ally, and has traveled/lived in many different places which has helped her better understand and celebrate diversity. She has experienced firsthand the difficulties of major transitions like divorce, faith changes, loss, and life stage adjustments. She is a single mother of 3 young children and 2 tortoises.
