Kenzi received her Bachelor’s of Science in Behavioral Science from Utah Valley University and her Master’s of Social Work from Brigham Young University. She has extensive experience working with adult males, substance abuse treatment, and mothers of special needs children. She is very passionate about working with children and adolescents and the challenges they deal with including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, defiance, oppositional defiance disorder (ODD), trauma, addiction, anger, grief, loss, self-esteem, self-harm, suicidal ideation, communication, interpersonal relations as well as other issues.
Kenzi is also experienced working with personality disorders and psychosis. She treats her clients implementing a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, Solution Focused, and Motivational Interviewing as well as other evidenced based theories tailored to meet her clients’ needs.
She loves working with any age and population, including couples and families. Her main areas of focus are in treating abuse, adjustment concerns, anxiety, defiance, depression, grief, self-esteem, self-harm, stress, and trauma. She enjoys helping her clients with any problems they face and helping to cultivate good coping skills and foster a healthy life. When she is not working with clients, she enjoys spending time with family, running, camping, and working on her parents’ ranch.
