Kristie is a highly experienced and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Utah and a Master's degree in Social Work from Boise State University. She works with a diverse range of populations, including children, adults, teens, couples, families, and LGBTQ+ individuals. Kristie believes in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship and strives to create a safe, non-judgmental space for her clients. She is dedicated to helping individuals achieve their personal goals and improve their overall well-being.
Kristie's approach is integrative, blending evidence-based practices with a compassionate, client-centered focus. She utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches, including EMDR, Crisis Intervention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing.
Kristie specializes in Crucial Conversations, Parent Management Training, and helping clients develop coping skills to manage anxiety, depression, and other challenges they may face. She also works with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, ensuring that all her clients feel supported and understood.
Born in California, Kristie considers Oklahoma her true home. She has also lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, and St. George, Utah, and now resides in the Salt Lake City area. Kristie cherishes spending time with her three children, grandchildren, family, and friends. When she's not with them, she enjoys riding her motorcycle, reading, learning, traveling, attending or watching Oklahoma Sooner football games, fishing, boating, scuba diving, and much more.
