Michelle’s passion in life is helping and serving others in meaningful ways. She values your time, energy, and effort in learning how to heal through therapy. When you meet with her, you will experience the personalized empathy, care and attention your unique situation deserves. Emotionally-Focused Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy are two of the main modalities she uses to help guide sessions. Michelle has also run Grief Support Groups for those experiencing loss.

Michelle’s specialties and areas of focus with clients include depression, anxiety, grief, divorce, co-parenting, blended families, infidelity, trauma, PTSD, self-esteem, women/female related emotional issues, and adolescents experiencing emotional difficulties. She welcomes LGBTQIA+ clients as well as individuals in non-traditional relationships.

Michelle is a Gottman Level 2 trained therapist which means she has additional training and expertise in couple’s therapy. Additionally, she is certified for treating Trauma and Affairs through the Gottman Institute. Michelle is a current American Associate for Marriage and Family Therapy member, a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success, and graduated with honors and distinction in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University.

Michelle enjoys working with diverse populations and individuals. She will always respect your religious or agnostic beliefs and never lets her beliefs dictate or influence your personalized sessions. Your beliefs will be honored and she considers herself very knowledgeable with various religions.

Michelle is widowed, remarried, and has five wonderful children. She is a “Utah transplant” and moved from Oklahoma over a decade ago. She has traveled all over Europe, Hawaii, Mexico, and looks forward to continue traveling in the future.
