Tyler Butler

Tyler earned a Bachelors of Social Work degree in 2022, and Masters of Social Work degree in 2023 from the University of Utah. Prior to his MSW journey, Tyler worked ten years in various roles as the Office Manager, Medical Coordinator, and Staff Supervisor at a residential treatment program for adolescents. He has experience working with teens, adults, and couples. Tyler also has experience facilitating pornography treatment groups, and helping individuals work through compulsive/addictive behaviors. Tyler enjoys helping people on their path of self-discovery and supporting them in their individual goals working towards a life worth living. He incorporates a variety of treatment modalities into therapy including: CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), TF-CBT (Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), SFT (Solution Focused Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Narrative Therapy, Gottman Methods, and strengths-based approaches tailored to each client’s individual circumstance.
In his free time, Tyler enjoys watching TV and movies, listening to music, camping, paddle boarding, hiking, and spending as much time as possible with his wife and four children. Tyler also has a rich background in Ballroom dance and welcomes any opportunity to go dancing with his wife.
